Meet the Founder
SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
Kathie-Lee Petsch, M.A., CCC-SLP
Hello, and thank you for your interest in my private practice. I began my academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, graduating in 2018 and earning induction into the Eta chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, originally with plans to pursue a career in medicine. However, during a gap semester, I discovered a deep interest in Speech-Language Pathology, which led me to complete a post-baccalaureate program at Northern Illinois University. I later earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2022.
In May 2023, I received my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida. I am also certified in SPEAK OUT!—a specialized program designed for individuals with voice impairments related to Parkinson’s Disease.
I am devoted to delivering individualized, functional care to a diverse range of clients. I work with children experiencing articulation and phonological disorders, difficulties with literacy concepts, and challenges in social language skills. I also serve adults with cognitive-linguistic deficits, visual field cuts, aphasia, and dysphagia—whether resulting from a stroke or of idiopathic origin.
On a personal note, I am passionate about my faith, my family, CrossFit, and my sweet pup, Leo. I love traveling and discovering new places—whether it’s a hidden local gem or a museum halfway across the world. I consider myself a lifelong learner and a firm believer in the power of everyday kindness, both in small gestures and big moments. Staying grounded, curious, and compassionate is just as important to me as staying well-rounded.
My “Why”
I founded Kathie-Lee’s Speech and Language Connections, LLC because I saw a clear and pressing need for more individualized, relationship-driven therapy. In many traditional settings, sessions are often rushed, making it harder to build meaningful rapport and fully understand each client’s unique identity, needs, and goals. Insurance limitations, long waitlists, and impersonal environments can delay care and diminish both the quantity and quality of therapy services.
By starting my own practice, I’ve created a space where clients are truly seen and heard. Here, therapy is tailored—not templated. I prioritize personalized care that nurtures both progress and connection, helping individuals achieve outcomes that matter in their daily lives.
At Kathie-Lee’s Speech and Language Connections, LLC, I strive to foster a warm, supportive, and professional environment. I believe therapy should strike a thoughtful balance between challenge and enjoyment—engaging, effective, and centered around the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
To make therapy even more accessible and convenient, I currently offer mobile services, bringing care directly to your home. That means no travel time, no stress over traffic, and no forgotten materials. You don’t have to worry about arranging childcare or pet care—your comfort is part of the plan.
While I genuinely love all furry companions, I kindly ask that any pets with a history of aggression be safely secured during visits to ensure a smooth and safe session for everyone involved.
When you choose Kathie-Lee’s Speech and Language Connections, LLC, you're not just selecting a provider—you’re choosing someone who is skilled, passionate, and deeply committed to your well-being. Together, we’ll create an environment that fosters growth, confidence, and lasting success.
