FAQs

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with both pediatric and adult clients, focusing on speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing challenges. This includes children with literacy, social language, articulation or phonological disorders, and adults with aphasia, dysphagia, visual field cuts, and cognitive-communication difficulties following stroke or other neurological events.

Do you offer in-home therapy sessions?

Yes! I currently provide mobile speech therapy services, meaning I come to you. This allows therapy to take place in a familiar, comfortable environment—no commuting, no waiting rooms, and no need for childcare or pet arrangements.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I am a private-pay provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and personalization that comes with private-pay services.

How do I know if my child (or loved one) needs speech therapy?

If you notice difficulties with speaking, understanding, reading, swallowing, or communicating clearly, it may be time for an evaluation. I’m happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation to help determine if speech therapy is the right next step.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an evaluation where I assess current strengths and areas of need. We'll talk about goals, discuss history, and begin developing a personalized therapy plan. It’s a relaxed and supportive environment designed to help you or your loved one feel at ease.

How long does each therapy session last?

Sessions are provided in 30, 45, or 60-minute intervals, depending on the needs and tolerance of the client. Frequency of sessions is tailored to each individual’s goals and progress.

What age groups do you work with?

I primarily work with preschool to school-aged children and adults, especially those navigating post-stroke recovery, Parkinson’s Disease, or other neurological conditions. If you’re unsure whether I’m the right fit, please feel free to reach out and ask!

What is SPEAK OUT! and why do you offer it?

SPEAK OUT!® is a specialized therapy program designed for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease who experience voice and speech difficulties. I’m certified in this approach because it helps clients regain vocal strength and confidence with evidence-based, structured support.
